Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By registering or using the CJPS Alumni Portal (“Portal”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Portal. These terms are governed by the laws of India.

2. Eligibility

The Portal is exclusively for:

• Verified alumni of Christu Jyothi Public School, Rajakkad, Kerala.
• Current and former teaching staff of Christu Jyothi Public School.

You must be 13 years of age or older to register. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are a genuine CJPS alumnus or staff member.

3. Account Responsibility

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• Accounts are personal and non-transferable.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or defamatory content.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other members.
• Share content that is obscene, discriminatory, or illegal under Indian law.
• Impersonate another person or falsely represent your identity.
• Use the Portal for commercial solicitation without authorization.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or the Portal's systems.
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Portal using automated means.
• Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful code.

5. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you post (photos, text, stories). By posting, you grant the Portal a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your content to other verified Portal members. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for commercial purposes.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights to post any content, including photos that may contain other individuals.

6. Job Listings

Job and internship postings are provided by community members in good faith. The Portal does not verify, endorse, or guarantee any job listing. Users interact with job listings at their own risk.

7. Moderation and Termination

Administrators reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or community standards, and to suspend or terminate accounts without prior notice in cases of serious violations. Decisions regarding account approval and access remain at the sole discretion of the administrators.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Portal is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the accuracy of member-provided information. Use of the Portal is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, the Portal and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Portal, including but not limited to loss of data, reputation, or opportunity.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kerala, India.
